This week I was lucky enough to go on a coffee date with the very generous and inspiring Nathalie Sommer!

Nathalie has a beautiful quiet power about her. She is continually coming up with bold visions for her life and business that all centre on helping others including her health retreat, intuitive coaching and brand new female empowerment project, Little Alchemy – Love, Rise & Unite.

I love hanging out with Nat and she always has so much grounded wisdom to offer.

I’m excited for you to learn more about this gorgeous soul and her multi-dimensional business – so start scrolling!

Tell us a little about yourself Nathalie! We want to hear what brought you to Hong Kong, where you grew up, how your business got started, and all the juiciness!

I grew up in Switzerland and lived there until I was 16 years old. Since then I have pretty much lived overseas. After studying business at University I moved abroad to Australia when I was 19 to further my education.

I lived in Australia for 13 years and that’s where I met my now husband Matt.

After a year of a distance relationship between the Gold Coast and Perth, we decided it’s fair if we both give everything up and have a fresh start and move to another country….and Hong Kong is where we ended up!

I’ve been in Hong Kong for two years now and so far this has been my best life decision!

My professional background is quite varied and I’ve been self-employed for 13 years working in holistic therapies and also owning a vegetarian Café on the Gold Coast.

I love the fact that I’ve been able to bring all of my experiences and skills together and do what I am passionate about, which includes running a health retreat in Hong Kong, offering my coaching programs and I’m in the process of launching my next project, Little Alchemy, where we offer personal empowerment programs to women & in conjunction, support charities to help women in need.

Wow! You’ve had an incredible life so far Nathalie. With everything going on in your life, how do you maintain clarity and get ‘unstuck’ when things aren’t going the way you’d hoped?

I gain clarity by checking in with myself and asking myself questions like, “What is the bigger picture? Am I being true to myself? Is this going to serve and nourish me?”

Taking time for yourself and taking a step back to oversee everything is a big part of being able to see clearly.

Aaaand then you take action! That is the only way to get unstuck and to overcome fear!

I’d love for you to share a time when your self-confidence has been at an all time low and what you did to pick yourself up and get back out there.

Don’t we all have these moments? That’s just our mind talking and how I try to dim that voice of fear is by giving myself reassurance and just trust.

I’ve been my best friend through my whole life and I will be my best friend until the end, so I try to be kind to myself and give myself the reassurance I would give to a friend. Its not always easy, but it’s amazing how you can retrain your mind by just not giving that voice attention and coming from a place of love and care for yourself

How do you stay connected to your purpose and your passion?

Like I previously mentioned, I check in with myself and continually ask myself questions. We hold all the answers inside of us, so it’s just a matter of listening.

Who and/or what inspires you?

My friends, my clients, my husband and of course my French bulldog Jolie. I love seeing people happy and inspired and pursuing their passions. I get such a high off that!

It sounds like you have a lot going on professionally! What’s next for you and your business?

I feel that Sommer Life is now in its flow so I can move on to the next thing, Little Alchemy.

I get very excited about this project because I’m deeply passionate about helping people. As soon as someone is in need of help and support my mind goes straight into creative mode and I think of how they can get help.

Little Alchemy is going to be a beautiful, giving and caring project with lots of heart. I am very excited!

You’ve been in Hong Kong for two years now. What do you love about this city?

I love the vibe it holds. There is the hustle and bustle and also nature and quietness.

There are so many nationalities coming together and I love how there is a lot of support and everyone wants to help one another.

My words of advice for young women about taking the leap and following their dreams would be….

Follow your heart and stay true to yourself. It’s as simple as that!

And finally do you have a quote or a daily mantra you use to keep you feeling clear, confident and connected within your business and life?

They change all the time haha! Right now I use, “Cross that bridge when you get to it and make your decisions based on what feeds your soul.”

It was so awesome to interview Nat and to gain a greater insight into how she truly connects with herself and how this connection helps her to make decisions in both life and business.

Share in the comments what insights you took away from this interview – I’d love to hear them!
